Exhibition statement:
“I manage the library of images taken by the fascinating, unsung explorer, David Scott Cowper. Over the last 30 years he has completed 3 solo circumnavigations via the poles, aboard his boats Mabel E Holland and Polar Bound. This ship’s compass illustrates significant events, including his commissioned search for a lost NASA beacon in the middle of the Pacific, and dwindling Arctic and Antarctic sea ice.”
